Not to assume you are not being a busy-beaver but if you're like me….

Half-term draws to a close!!! It is good to look at your personal timeline – do you have one!!
I mean something you have worked out that works backwards from hand-in date with little indicators for when you want to have got specific things done by. The issue is that while you ‘still have it to do’ it still has the potential of being brilliant! But once you’ve done it you face the realisation it is not the same outside your head as it was when it was inside your head (as Winnie the Pooh points out). But if you never do it, it won’t get done…so as my current screen saver states:

Go on…

I was just at a conference this weekend and it ended with the advice:

'Go on and do your thing, baby'.

That is my mantra for this term I think

Group SKYPE chat - welcome back!

Great SKYPE chat today we had 8 people in the conversation. We talked about an overview of the three modules. This included the difference between Module One and the other two modules. We spoke about how in module two and three there is much more autonomy because you are carving out your understanding of the literature and where your ideas, interests and inquiry sit. We said in Module Two and Three ‘you are driving the bus’ but Helen and I are there right next to you!!!

We talked about looking at feedback and chatting with your advisor one-to-one if you have any questions. We reminded ourselves of our support systems
Each other through:
The blogs
The group SKYPES
Linked-in discussion

Each person attending the chat said they would write something on their blog and particularly thought it would be useful to write something about study habits to share with each other and to remind yourself what worked for you.

Lastly we decided one the next group SKYPE for 11am (London time) March 2nd

What do you think?
